日本料理の調理に適した小型で効果的なグリップのサービングツール6種（スパチュラ、大型のスプーン、穴あきスプーン、レードル、パスタサーバー、しゃもじ）と細かい作業に適したプレシジョントングなどが開発された。
ラインナップには日本向けの専用商品である大根グレーターも含まれる。大根おろしはすでに大きな市場を形成していたが、当時は決定打となるエンジニアリングが見当たらなかったため、膨大な試作と実験検証を重ねての実証的な開発が進められた。
そのブレードの開発においては、一般的な大根おろしにおいてしばしば見られる「特定の方向に滑る現象」を防ぐために意図的にランダム化された歯並びがデザインされ、試作と検証を通じてその大きさや角度などが最適化された。また外観を特徴づけるエラストマーの斜面も大きく貢献している。こうして従来の1.5倍のおろし効率を実現したこの大根おろしは、2006年に非常に高評価のもとに市場に迎え入れられ、日本グッドデザイン賞の金賞も受賞した。

This is set of kitchen tools, which I designed for OXO international, a very well known company in the US.
These kitchen tools were designed originally for the Japanese market, developing small and effective grips suitable for the preparation of Japanese cuisine.
The product line also offers Japan-specific items, such as the Daikon Grater. This particular tool has undergone a significant redesign aimed at outperforming traditional Japanese radish graters, and this improvement is based on scientific research.
For those who frequent Japanese restaurants, grated daikon is a staple in Japanese cuisine. What may be less known to foreigners is that grating daikon can be quite labor-intensive and time-consuming.
This Daikon Grater has been re-engineered to achieve 1.5 times the efficiency of conventional Japanese graters, thanks to optimized blades, teeth, and a sleek elastomer slope for enhanced stability.
It's worth noting that OXO's initial success was rooted in its creation of a potato peeler with a comfortable and effective grip. The Daikon Grater may very well represent another significant achievement in OXO's line of successful products. In fact, it was awarded the Japan Good Design Award's Gold Prize in 2006.
