CanguRo
また、SLAM(自己位置の定位と環境マッピングをリアルタイムで行う技術)によるオートパイロット機能により、ネットワークを介して遠くからでも呼び出すことができる。

Horses were once both partners and modes of transportation for people. CanguRo is a prototype of a Mobility Robot that integrates modern robotics and AI technology, harmonized through sophisticated styling and design. The project was developed in collaboration with fuRo, the Future Robotics Technology Center at the Chiba Institute of Technology.
In everyday life, it functions as an autonomous partner robot, assisting individuals in their activities and behaving like a companion. It can also be summoned through a network for pick-up using the autopilot function facilitated by SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology, even from a considerable distance.
When in motion, CanguRo automatically transforms into a vehicle, intuitively conveying travel speed to its rider through pulses and vibrations, creating a sense of unity with the machine. CanguRo detects the movement of the rider's trunk and adopts an appropriate posture by leaning and transforming its body. This functionality allows the rider to execute quick turns at ultrahigh speeds through body movements, akin to those in skiing and skating. The name "CanguRo" is derived from the Italian word for 'kangaroo.'
The CanguRo Mobility Robot has been honored with the Platinum A' Design Award in 2021, as well as the IF Design Award in the Professional Concept category, and Beazley Designs of the Year.
